Since January just ended, I thought I'll add a list of my fave things purchased in January. I will likely by creating a monthly list of my faves throughout the duration of this blog.
1. MAC Powder Blush in Raizin -- I'm not the biggest makeup junkie. At all. This was my first purchase of blush ever. In life. I didn't want to look outrageous & I was crazy enough to buy it online since there isn't a MAC store in the area of my college. I had no idea what shade to get, so with the help of one of my favorite fashion blogs, fashionbombdaily.com, I came across an excellent post on determining what blush is great depending on skin tones. And I must say I love it! It gives my face a bright, fresh look!
2. MAC Lipstick in Coconutty -- I've wanted a nude lipstick for ages now. And the same time I was purchasing my blush online I decided why not buy some lipstick. I used the same blog mentioned above to figure out what nude lipstick would work with my skin tone. I really like it & will probably start wearing lipstick more. I'd also opt to buy in store instead of online when it comes to lipstick. I think lipstick is just one of those things you HAVE to try on before buying. I'm glad that my order turned out right & I didn't end up hating what I purchased.
3. Black feather earrings -- Last year I came across this awesome website, creativenatiive.com, ran by this girl named Aleah. On top of her selling really cool vintage clothing she finds thrifting, she also creates her own jewelry. You can get great things at such a low price & the best thing about it... NO TAX & NO S&H fees! A college-girl-addicted-to-retail's dream!
4. Material Girl Leopard Print Flats -- Last Saturday I met my boyfriend at Macy's. I showed up in Uggs & jeans. Definitely not attire to attend a birthday dinner following with him. So of course, I just had to find an outfit to switch into. I found these shoes on sale for $11! I absolutely love them. My mom even went looking for her a pair the other day. They can play up any simple style you're going for.
5. Amazon Keyboard Kindle Case in Hot Pink -- My mom bought me a kindle for Christmas & I finally got around to buying a case for it. It's a nice, hard case, so my sweet kindle (which I named Laila) will be protected in my purse & school bag. I considered getting a silicone case, but I'm glad I stuck with this. Right now I'm currently reading "A Thousand Splendid Suns" by Khaled Hosseini. If you have any other book recommendations to add to my kindle collection, let me know!
Well, that's all my faves for the month of January. Stay posted for February faves! (:

That kindle case is dope. Minimalistic. I like it.
