Solange in Olcay Gulsen + "True" EP Review.

Everyone knows how much I love Solange. No shade to Beyonce (I loveee her), but I like Solange better, musically & fashion wise. And as of lately, Beyonce seems to be taking tips for her sister in the fashion department.

You can't deny Solange doesn't look stunning in this Olcay Gulsen double-slit dress paired with B. Brian Atwood Labrea Sandals. She wore this ensemble to the Ermenegildo Zegna 'Essenze' Collection Launch in New York City on Monday night.

This peach color looks more than amazing against her skin. And her hair... HER HAIR! After I get my box braids again, I'm trying this. #SoloTaughtMe

While Solange was hitting the town in style, I was listening to her latest album, True, that dropped digitally on November 27. The EP will be released on CD and vinyl in January 2013. I absolutely love this EP from my wife (as I like to call her). It has an 80s feel to me and just makes me want to vibe out in my room alone or at house party with close friends. True has Solange written all over it! The only thing I dislike about the album is that it's only 7 songs long. My favorite songs are: Losing You, Looks Good With Trouble & Bad Girls.

You might have heard Losing You before, it's her single off the album and tells the story of potentially losing a significant other. It has this funky feel that you're at an old skating party or jamming out to this on vinyl with really big headphones. Looks Good With Trouble is a soft song that makes me want to spend romantic time with my boyfriend. Bad Girls completely reminds me of an 80s music video or a prom scene in an 80s film like Pretty In Pink. It's also a soft, soothing song from Solange.

Purchase "True" on iTunes!
