This past Sunday and Tuesday, two shows premiered that grabbed my attention. Enough to make me forget that Scandal doesn't return until February 27 (insert breaking heart).
On Sunday, after tuning into my guilty pleasure of Real Housewives of Atlanta, I checked out a new Bravo reality series, Blood, Sweat And Heels. The show follows six women including former video vixen, Melyssa Ford and Demetria of ABelleInBrooklyn.com striving for top success in NYC.
The show was great to me and the first episode touched on the topic of trust in relationships. Along with rather or not snooping on your significant other is wrong. After one of the ladies talked negatively about bloggers, I can sense that the show may get a little messy, but what's reality without mess?!
The show is scheduled to show every Sunday at 9:00pm on Bravo. In case you missed the first episode, Bravo will be reshowing it throughout the week. Check out the schedule below to see when to tune in:
Tuesday was the series premiere of Being Mary Jane on BET. BET first debuted the series as a movie/pilot in July 2013. It was well received and stars Gabrielle Union as Mary Jane Paul, a single, successful TV anchor dealing with life's obstacles. She's dealing with every woman faces in her day to day life; family issues, finding love and maintaining success in the workplace.
Mara Brock Akil, creator and producer for the show, struck gold again! If you're unaware, Mara Akil created and produced the successful tv shows, Girlfriends and The Game.
The series is scheduled to show every Tuesday at 10pm on BET. Click on the photos to watch the first episode in case you missed it, along with the pilot/movie:
